BIO

Nathan Green is a research professional with ACEP. He splits his time researching Alaskan power systems and acting as a liaison to Southeast Alaska.

Green鈥檚 research involves modeling and simulating small electrical grids similar to Alaskan villages in order to understand how additional renewable energy resources impact the electric grid and the community.

In his liaison duties, he works closely with existing partners and is developing new connections to ensure that ACEP researchers are including the region's needs in their research and that the findings are well communicated to Southeast communities.

While in graduate school studying electrical engineering, Green worked with ACEP, researching the use of Organic Rankine Cycle generation as a primary power source in relatively low temperature geothermal hot springs.
